Cathedral
Choir of St. Gregory the Great
The
Cathedral Choir sings hymns, antiphons, anthems, and other music,
before the Altar of God, both to praise Him and to lead and enrich
the worship of the congregation. The Choir is open to both
men and women of high-school age and up, and prior musical knowledge
is not required.
Choir
rehersals are Wednesdays at 7:15 pm, and Sundays at 9:00am prior
to the 10:15 am Mass.

Julie
Shatley, Choir Director
Julie Shatley is a graduate of Rollins College (2008),
where she received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Music with a
concentration in piano performance. While attending Rollins, she
was actively involved in the Rollins Flute Choir, Wind Ensemble,
Pep Band, and Orchestra, where she played flute and piccolo.
Originally from Albany, New York, Julie has had the opportunity
to musically direct as well as perform in many upstate ensembles,
including the Empire State Youth Chorale and the United States Air
Force Band.
During her undergraduate studies at Rollins, Julie had to opportunity
to direct the music programs at both St. Paul’s Presbyterian
Church and St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and was an Artistic
Intern with The Orlando Chorale.
Julie is currently the musical director at The Anglican Cathedral
of the Incarnation, music teacher at Sweetwater Episcopal Academy,
and the accompanist for the Valencia Community College choirs. She
also has been teaching private piano and vocal lessons since graduating
from Rollins.
