Cathedral Ministries

Acolytes
The Cathedral's Acolytes are men and boys who are trained to serve before the Lord in His sanctuary, assisting the clergy in their ministrations, assisting the congregation in its worship, and adding dignity and majesty to Divine Service.

For more information, contact Acolyte Warden Ken Hutchinson.

Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is the group of ladies that prepares the sanctuary for each service and cleans up afterward, thus ensuring that the spiritual work of the Cathedral can run smoothly.

For more information, contact Altar Guild Directress Dona Conlon.

Anglican Creations
Anglican Creations is a group of parishioners who offer their unique craft creations, including knitting, crocheting, and woodworking, as gifts for our shut-in and homebound parishioners, and others in our community and throughout the the world.

For more information, contact Marcia Brown.

Anglican Youth
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)  Anglican Youth are the next generation of disciples of Christ.  Through Sunday School, Diocesan Youth Camp, and other activities involving education, prayer, service, and fellowship, the youth of middle school through college age are training to take the baton of the Faith from their elders and run a good race.

For more information, contact Youth Director John Larsen

Cathedral Choir of St. Gregory the Great

The Cathedral Choir sings hymns, antiphons, anthems, and other music, before the Altar of God, both to praise Him and to lead and enrich the worship of the congregation.  The Choir is open to both men and women of high-school age and up, and prior musical knowledge is not required.

For more information, contact Choir Director Julie Shatley.

Flower Guild
The Flower Guild provides pleasing flower arrangements for the regular beautification of the Altar, and coordinates the decoration of the church for Holy Days and special occasions.

For more information, contact Flower Guild Directress Jeanie Wilkinson.

Franciscan Order of the Sacred Heart

The Order of the Sacred Heart is a traditional Franciscan family of friars, sisters of the First Order and Brothers and Sisters of the Third Order Secular.  Our Franciscan family is a family of prayer, striving to follow in the footsteps of our Holy and Seraphic Father, St. Francis. Our aim is to become walking examples of the Holy Gospel with hearts aflame with the love of Christ for a broken humanity.

For more information, contact Sister Mary Angela a.k.a. Anne Larsen, and visit the Order of the Sacred Heart website.

Knights of St. George
The Knights of St. George exists to help men grow in their relationship with Christ, and to foster in them the desire and dedication to be godly men, husbands, fathers, and includes outreach to men throughout the community.  One of the most important activities of the Knights of St. George is its Raising a Modern day Knight program, which explores how to raise sons into a noble vibrant masculinity and healthy Christian manhood and to propel fatherhood to a whole new level.

For more information, contact Richard Talkington Fletcher.

St. Joseph's Men's Ministry
In men's ministry at the Cathedral, we strive to emulate our patron St. Joseph, a man called to holiness through everyday life as a working man, husband and father.  St. Joseph's Men's Ministry meets for study and fellowship, and takes on service projects in the community in the Cathedral's name.

For more information, contact St. Joseph's President, Gary Grund.

St. Monica's Guild
The women of the Cathedral look to St. Monica as their model: changing the world through persistence in prayer.  St. Monica's Guild meets for study and fellowship, and supports the Cathedral through fundraising and community events.

For more information, contact St. Monica's President, Shelly Koehler

Traditional Anglican Sisters in Christ
The mission of a Traditional Anglican Sister In Christ is to pledge herself to a lifelong program of fervent prayer; constant aid to her clergy and parish; service to the Lord; and a commitment to the spread of the Apostles' teachings, the Breaking of Bread, and fellowship. (Acts 2:42-47)

For more information, contact Jeanie Wilkinson

Ushers
The Ushers are men who assist at Divine Service by minding the doors, escorting the infirm, and other important duties outside the sanctuary.

For more information, contact Usher Warden Tom McCarthy.
